Naturopathy is a multidisciplinary approach to health care that recognises the body’s innate power to heal itself. Naturopaths believe your body requires the correct nutrients, adequate rest and relaxation, appropriate exercises, fresh air, clean water and sunlight.
Naturopaths use various tools to assess your health. These help naturopaths to discover why you are ill and what assistance is required. Diagnostic tools used are iridology, diagnostic kinesiology, tongue diagnosis and laboratory tests. The tools used are catered to the individual and their complaint.
Diagnostic kinesiology
It can locate the "underlying cause" of a condition, and what is required. The tool is invaluable with food intolerances.
Iridology
The iris is composed of 2,800 exposed nerve endings and provides a wealth of information about the body’s strength, weaknesses, levels of inflammation and efficiency of the eliminative organs.
Tongue Diagnosis
Your tongue is a window to your metabolism. It is the only internal organ you can see directly. Its colour and shape indicate the ability to digest food, eliminate toxins and fight illness.
Apart from general advice, naturopaths can assess and advice on:
