Active Birth - Yoga for Pregnancy and Birth Course
A course specifically designed for pregnancy to prepare the body and mind of mothers to be. Active Birth Yoga consists of gentle yoga-based exercises using breathing, relaxation techniques, and positions to prepare for labour and birth. It includes a discussion on birthing issues, and provides an opportunity to meet other pregnant women. Suitable from the 16th week of pregnancy.
Active Birth - Post Natal Yoga Course
Designed for Post Natal recovery incorporating gentle yoga for the new mother, and hands on instruction on baby massage.

Baby Massage Course
Clinical research has shown that positive, loving, nurturing touch has an important impact on a baby’s development. Baby massage is something that every parent can learn - providing benefits to both the baby and parent.
Baby Massage can:-
- Aid digestion and help relieve colic, wind and constipation.
- Help clam and soothe.
- Help improve sleep patterns.
- Help develop muscle tone, co-ordination and suppleness.
- Help promote bonding between the parent and baby.
- Help stimulate the circulation.
This course is suitable for babies from 6 weeks onwards and will aim to:-

Teach various massage techniques and infant exercises.

Introduce parents to the safe use of essential oil.

Teach a basic understanding of essential oils and their therapeutic use(s) on babies and children.

Discuss various infant ailments and conditions and how to treat them naturally with essential oils.

Give parents greater confidence in handling and understanding their babies.

Shirley-Anne Foster is a fully-qualified registered member of IFPA (international Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) and IFR (International Federation of Reflexologists) and has over 10 year’s practical experience. She specialises in giving Aromatherapy and Reflexology treatments to women, both pre and post natally. She has also run many successful baby massage courses for parents.
Baby Rescusitation Workshop
In this worshop you will learn what to do if your baby were to stop breathing or were choking. Manekins are used to practice on and there is plenty of time to ask questions to ensure you feel confident and reassured. An absolute must for parents ante or post natal or anyone looking after babies. The session will be relaxed, friendly and provide invaluable support and advice.
The worskhop is run by Katherine Lowther, founder of Babysteps and a registered pediatric nurse and health visitor. She has 10 years experience caring for sick children at Great Ormond Street Hospital and in Chealsea and Westminster’s Accident and Emergency department. Childhood Accidents and Illnesses Workshop
This workshop covers First Aid and the initial steps to follow in a range of emergency situations - if a child becomes unwell suddenly, gets injured, ingests a poisonous substance, has a fit, signs and symptoms of meningitis, head injuries etc. Also included are ways to help you feel more confident in caring for your child when they have minor illness, including what to have in your medicine cabinet, recognising signs and symptoms, where and when to seek medical advice.

Pre-natal Pilates course
A course dedicated to helping pregnant ladies developing body awareness, co-ordination, control and strength. The course is run by Skeena who has worked with the NCT and trained especially for pregnancy Pilates. Courses begin on February 27th, April 16th, June 4th 2008. Baby Yoga and Brain Development Course
Classes explore key areas of your baby's first year in relation to their emotional, physical and intellectual well being. The course includes baby yoga and energy massage as tools to enhance brain and physical development and also provides time for mothers to reflect on their needs and enjoy friendship. A 6 week beginners courseled by World gold Medalist and Internationally recognised Taekwondo master Daniel Kobbina.
