GINNY APPLETON

Ginny joined the Vitality team as a part-time therapist in July 2009. She first started in the field of Complementary Health in 1997, gaining her diploma in Reflexology. She has since added to her skills, qualifying in Swedish and Holistic Massage, Pregnancy Massage and second level Reiki.
Ginny spent the years 2000-06 living and running her practice in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, whilst her husband was working there in tourism and conservation. In this remote and supremely natural environment, she developed her un-rushed and intuitive treatment style with a firm belief in the calming, relaxing and healing effects brought by an awareness of our connection with nature.
“It is a great privilege to work with others in such a personal way and to provide a window of respite and rest from the many stresses of 21st century life. My aim is to work from the outside in. Relaxing first the body, which in turn calms the mind, thus opening the spirit to our innate wisdom; the inspiration that helps us to solve our problems. From this last, non-physical level of being, comes the ability to resist and process the damaging effects that stress can have on our bodies. It all begins with touch. The simple act of nurturing connection with another human being’.
Ginny is available at The Vitality Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am-7pm, and has some flexibility on the remaining days, including Saturdays.
