Kim studied the art of corrective healing in Oregon and Berkerley, California since 1999, and holds an Associates degree from the Colorado School of Healing Arts.

She is qulified and experienced in the following treatments: Cranial Sacral, Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massge and Hot Stone therapy.

Kiera Petersen is passionate about being a facilitator for clients to access their true health through the use of CranioSacral Therapy.

She has studied various therapies over the years to be as an affective therapist as possible. In 1995 she qualified as a Swedish Masseuse, and then went on to become a Reiki Master, Kinesiologist and a CranioSacral Therapist, gaining a distinction with the Upledger Institute with whom she regularly assists on their training courses.

Kiera also incorporates Somato Emotional Release (the issues in the tissues) with her CranioSacral Therapy. This gently and effectively releases deeply held emotional and physical trauma from the body’s tissues, allowing the body to self correct.

I have a passionate commitment to offering support, empathy and empowerment to my clients through a therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty and respect. Over the past 9 years I have worked one-to-one with adults offering counselling / psychotherapy in a variety of settings, covering a wide range of personal issues. I have worked at the Wimbledon Guild Charity on Worple Road since 2002 and continue to work there on a voluntary basis as an ‘assessment’ counsellor.

My Approach:

The existential phenomenological approach I use in my work lends itself naturally to taking a holistic view of oneself, ones relationships and ones place in the world. Through the therapy process I offer:

The initial consultation is free of charge. This is to give you an opportunity to meet me, learn more about psychotherapy/counselling and for us to decide together whether therapy would be helpful to you. There would be no obligation to have any further sessions.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place at the same time on a weekly basis. If you decide to continue beyond the initial consultation, I would normally suggest a review at 6 weeks to check progress against your objectives. I can work with you in short term (6 weeks or less) or longer, open-ended arrangements, with periodic reviews. You are of course free to end therapy at any time. Ginny joined the Vitality team as a part-time therapist in July 2009.  She first started in the field of Complementary Health in 1997, gaining her diploma in Reflexology. She has since added to her skills, qualifying in Swedish and Holistic Massage, Pregnancy Massage and second level Reiki.

Ginny spent the years 2000-06 living and running her practice in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, whilst her husband was working there in tourism and conservation.  In this remote and supremely natural environment, she developed her un-rushed and intuitive treatment style with a firm belief in the calming, relaxing and healing effects brought by an awareness of our connection with nature.
